Inspired by my walks through the Jerusalem forests near my home in Tzur Hadassa, this watercolour painting captures the quiet magic of a walking trail winding through Begin forest, celebrating the peaceful beauty that surrounds me every day.
The path is gently framed by a graceful arrangement of indigenous wildflowers I've spotted along the paths, each one a small treasure tucked into the landscape each rendered in soft, flowing detail.
Among them are Symphytum Brachycalyx Boiss with its soft white bells, Iris Vartani in pale blue hues, golden Jerusalem Buttercups glowing like sunlight, delicate pink Wild Cyclamen tucked shyly beneath leaves, pale purple Nicene Mallows, vivid red and orange Horned Poppies bursting with warmth and dusky purple Rock Roses.
